Sofia Coppola was born in New York City in 1971.She is a famous screen-writer, film director, actress and producer. She was the third female film director to be nominated for an Academy Award for Directing. Most her films are about female theme and talk about societal, family and mental problems from female angle.
Her first famous three films were Lick the Star(1998), The Virgin Sucides(1999) and Lost in Translation(2003).She used 27 days to complete the Virgin Sucides with a distinctive feminine traits which show her outstanding talent. Lost in Translation won the Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards. In her films she usually uses a lot of colors and techniques to affect film theme.
